Council to receive Tesco survey results

Jo will present preliminary results of her survey of Milngavie residents on Tesco's expansion to the Council later this week.
Jo delivered 5500 surveys to all households in Milngavie in September and October and is now compiling the preliminary results for submission to East Dunbartonshire Council later this week.
The survey asks for residents' views on the proposed height of the new building and the importance of a pedestrian entrance to the store on Woodburn Way, among other issues. Around 800 surveys have been returned so far, with more still coming in, meaning the response rate is 15% and rising.
Commenting, Jo said:
"I have had an excellent response rate to the Tesco survey and I'd like to thank everyone who filled one in and returned it. It is clear that people hold very strong opinions on this, and it is important that both the Council and Tesco are aware of people's views.
"I will be submitting my initial summary of the findings to the Council this week, with a more detailed report to follow as more results come in."
