Jo attends Butterfly Awards ceremony

Jo attended and gave a short speech at the Butterfly Awards' Garden Scheme ceremony on Monday in Bishopbriggs.

The Butterfly Awards are presented by Bishopbriggs Community Council to local people who have taken great care of their gardens or successfully improved them. Gardens are judged on aesthetic and environmental criteria.

At the awards ceremony at Bishopbriggs Bowling Club on Monday evening, the prizes were presented by new Provost Eric Gotts, and Jo gave a short speech to those in attendance.

Commenting, Jo said:

"I regularly go door to door in Bishopbriggs to speak to local people, and it always brings a smile to my face to see so many well kept gardens. Well done to everyone involved in organising the scheme and congratulations to those won awards."
