Commenting, Jo said:

"All four Young Enterprise companies last night were impressive and inspiring. The young entrepreneurs had not only made healthy profits, but also learned a huge amount about business and working together in a team to make things happen.

"Having taken part in Young Enterprise when I was a pupil at Douglas Academy, I know first-hand how useful the skills learned are in the world of work. It's also great fun to be involved in setting up your own company with classmates and taking on the challenges of producing, marketing and selling products.

"Well done to The 9 Misskuteers (Dumbarton Academy) who won Best Company, and will go on to represent Dunbartonshire at the Scottish final. Congratulations are also due to runners-up Keep Me Bags (Lenzie Academy), to Coda (Bearsden Academy) and Namasari (St Ninian's High School) for their excellent presentations, and to everyone across Dunbartonshire who has taken part in the Young Enterprise scheme this year."

Jo participated in Young Enterprise Dunbartonshire in 1997 when she was co-Managing Director of Douglas Academy's company "YETI", which won Best Company in Dunbartonshire and represented our area at the Scottish final.
