Notice of surgery for deaf and hard of hearing residents

June 23, 2008 11:11 AM

Jo Swinson will hold an advice surgery specifically for deaf and hard of hearing constituents on Friday 27th June.

A sign language interpreter will be present at the surgery, which will run on a first-come-first-served basis from 4 to 6pm in Jo's constituency office: 4 Springfield House, Emerson Road, Bishopbriggs G64 1QE.

Jo said:

"I am eager to provide an excellent service to all residents in East Dunbartonshire, and this surgery has been set up specifically for any deaf or hard of hearing people who might otherwise have trouble raising an issue face to face with their MP.

"My constituency office can be contacted on 0141 762 2209 - textphone users should dial 18001 followed by this number to be connected via the Typetalk service. I am happy to accommodate any other form of language support, if a request can be made in advance."

If you are a resident of the East Dunbartonshire constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
