Job vacancy - Personal Assistant to Jo Swinson MP

Full-time position, salary £14,000 - £16,000 depending on experience
A well-organised, efficient and friendly individual is sought for the role of Personal Assistant to Jo Swinson MP, based in the constituency office in Bishopbriggs.
Duties will include:
• Managing Jo's diary commitments, organising meetings and visits and providing briefings
• Booking and publicising constituency surgeries
• Drafting letters and email correspondence on an ad hoc basis
• Adding information to Jo's website
• Supervising volunteer interns and work experience students
• Keeping relevant information filed and organised (e.g. press cuttings, community council minutes)
• Helping with basic office admin from opening the post to stationery orders
The successful candidate will have excellent written communication skills and a pleasant telephone manner. They must be comfortable with common IT packages and display good attention to detail.
The position is based within a lively and dynamic team in the constituency office, next to Bishopbriggs train station which is less than ten minutes from Glasgow Queen Street.
Closing date: Friday 2nd May
Interviews will be held on Saturday 10th May.
